[TAIPEI - Sheep+Pony 😌]
常常經過,終於第一次來試這家台北超人気漢堡餐廳。 第一次吃當然要點招牌後苑漢堡來可以試真漢堡的原味。 本來看到餐廳標榜用新鮮美牛現做的漢堡扒,而且是190克夠我食量,所以蠻有期望。 但完成品比預期有落差, 主要原因有三:當比較厚的漢堡扒中間夠熟的時候, 兩邊的肉都已過熟變得很乾很柴,而且也變成一棵棵掉出來,用火過猛的結果。漢堡扒原來只是半製成品,比預期當場新鮮做感覺不夠新鮮和變硬。烤洋蔥和麵包都偏甜。
其他食物方面,雖然我喜歡生洋蔥,但酪梨醬的生洋蔥太多太重,把酪梨的味道蓋過。炸餅也很油。Taco一般般。
整體口感也比較油膩,中午吃完到晚上還吃不下晚餐。
Finally visited this famed burger restaurant the first time even passed by many times previously. Ordering the signature Pony’s Backyard Burger is a must in order to gauge the quality of the burger without unnecessary interference by other ingredients of other burger style. Originally knowing that the restaurant uses freshly made patty and at 190grams which fits my appetite, my hope for a quality burger that I like was high. But the result fell short with the following few reasons: When the core of the relatively thick patty was cooked to medium cooked level, the two sides were already overcooked and turned hard. The beef were also falling off in chunks. This is likely due to excessive degree used when cooking the patty. Instead of completely made to order from scratch, the patty was actually semi-finished before cooking which is less juice and hard when cooked. The caramelised onion and bun were on the sweet side.
As for other dishes thought I like raw onion, I find the use of onion too much for the guacamole which covered the taste of avocado. The Q-shape dip was also too oily. Taco was average.
Overall it was surprisingly too oily even US beef was used. I even had to skip dinner.
