The Godly Way to Prosper in All Things
“And my God will liberally supply (fill to the full) your every need according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:19 AMPC)
The often quoted verse above is in the context of giving to supply the needs of fellow Christians, especially the needs of those who labor in preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
“But it was right and commendable and noble of you to contribute for my needs and to share my difficulties with me. And you Philippians yourselves well know that in the early days of the Gospel ministry, when I left Macedonia, no church (assembly) entered into partnership with me and opened up [a debit and credit] account in giving and receiving except you only. For even in Thessalonica you sent [me contributions] for my needs, not only once but a second time. Not that I seek or am eager for [your] gift, but I do seek and am eager for the fruit which increases to your credit [the harvest of blessing that is accumulating to your account]. But I have [your full payment] and more; I have everything I need and am amply supplied, now that I have received from Epaphroditus the gifts you sent me. [They are the] fragrant odor of an offering and sacrifice which God welcomes and in which He delights. And my God will liberally supply (fill to the full) your every need according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:14-19 AMPC)
The Philippian church had received a revelation of the gracious act of giving. Out of love for Paul, they contributed for his material needs.
They were generous, relentless, cheerful givers. To them, Paul declared the promise that because of their giving, God would liberally supply their every need according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
In other words, if you’re generous to fellow Christians, and especially to those who labor in preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ, God will be even more generous to you.
God will out-supply what you gave to others. He especially loves those who give generous and happily, because such people really have faith in Him.
They aren’t afraid to give, even in times of financial famine or drought, because they believe that God will take care of them no matter what the circumstances are.
Paul is the same person who wrote this to the Corinthian church:
“[Remember] this: he who sows sparingly and grudgingly will also reap sparingly and grudgingly, and he who sows generously [that blessings may come to someone] will also reap generously and with blessings. Let each one [give] as he has made up his own mind and purposed in his heart, not reluctantly or sorrowfully or under compulsion, for God loves (He takes pleasure in, prizes above other things, and is unwilling to abandon or to do without) a cheerful (joyous, "prompt to do it") giver [whose heart is in his giving]. [Prov. 22:9.] And God is able to make all grace (every favor and earthly blessing) come to you in abundance, so that you may always and under all circumstances and whatever the need be self-sufficient [possessing enough to require no aid or support and furnished in abundance for every good work and charitable donation]. As it is written, He [the benevolent person] scatters abroad; He gives to the poor; His deeds of justice and goodness and kindness and benevolence will go on and endure forever! [Ps. 112:9.] And [God] Who provides seed for the sower and bread for eating will also provide and multiply your [resources for] sowing and increase the fruits of your righteousness [which manifests itself in active goodness, kindness, and charity]. [Isa. 55:10; Hos. 10:12.] Thus you will be enriched in all things and in every way, so that you can be generous, and [your generosity as it is] administered by us will bring forth thanksgiving to God.” (2 Corinthians 9:6-11 AMPC)
This further supports the truth that you will experience God’s abundant supply of provision when you give by faith.
Your money is a seed. If you sow sparingly, you will reap a small harvest. If you sow generously, you will reap a big harvest.
You reap financial blessings in proportion to your level of giving.
You are not forced to give. Do it cheerfully out of a revelation that God wants to supply His beloved people through you, and that He will supply you with much more provision, so that you can keep on being blessed to be a blessing.
When you give, you don’t have to worry how the new blessings of provision will come to you.
God will use the power, wisdom and resources at His disposal to make all grace abound towards you.
You will find surprise money, unexpected promotions, new business deals, new creative ideas, Spirit-led investment leading, new customers, etc.
You will just walk right into the blessings prepared by God’s angels and Christians who are in tune with the leading of the Holy Spirit.
As you continue in this grace of giving, you will increase in wealth to the point whereby you can be consistently generous without your supply ever running out.
Be clear on which portion of your income is seed for sowing, and which portion is bread for eating. Don’t eat all your seeds if not you have no basis to expect a harvest!
Dear brethren, I believe that giving is where the rubber meets the road. Some believers want God to liberally supply their every need, but they clench their purse strings so tightly, hardening their hearts to the leading of the Holy Spirit.
The same believers won’t bat an eyelid to spend big sums of money for their entertainment, but when it comes to giving in church or supplying those who are in need, they don’t do it, or they do it sparingly and grudgingly.
You won’t become wealthy as a believer by default. You will prosper through the way God designed: giving generously by faith in God’s promises.
If you are a born-again Christian, you belong to Heaven’s royal family. You are a prince or princess. A royal priest to God.
Royalty are generous. They don’t need to be afraid of lacking provision.
If you want the promise of being enriched in all things and every way to be experientially real in your life, then start giving your way to God-given prosperity!

Take a Step Down to Go Up!
“But when you are invited, go and sit in the lowest place, so that when he who invited you comes, he may tell you, ‘Friend, move up higher.’ Then you will be honored in the presence of all who sit at the table with you.” (Luke 14:10 WEB)
While I was thinking about the winding staircase revelation that Pastor Prince shared, suddenly these words floated up in my spirit: “Go up higher.”
I searched for that verse and found this! This year when you humble yourself by placing others before you, God will remember you by promoting you to a higher place.
You’re ascending the winding staircase when you serve Jesus in humility. Even if it seems like your good works are not being noticed or acknowledged, remember that the Lord is your Rewarder and He sees all your labors of faith, hope and love.
In His address to all the seven churches of Asia Minor in the Book of Revelation, Jesus said that He knew their works and could even single them out by name.
““I know your works, your love, faith, service, patient endurance, and that your last works are more than the first.” (Revelation 2:19 WEB)
A believer walking in humility shows that he/she is growing to be more spiritually-mature.
When you go down in humility, you’re actually moving up and demonstrating that you’re ready to receive bigger blessings to steward for Jesus’ glory. Amen!

Bad experiences in the past doesn’t mean we give up on being led to the right local church community for us.
I was in a few local churches before i finally felt happy and peaceful permanently settling down in New Creation Church in Singapore as my local church community.
What happens if the local church you attend is not completely share the same doctrine as you?
If you have a sure confidence in what you believe and it aligns with God’s word, then just listen and apply the parts that your church is teaching correctly and carry on with what you believe to be right.
If your beliefs differ too much from what is preached at your local church and you have no peace in your spirit, then continue to attend as you search for a new local church to settle in, as guided by the Holy Spirit.
Don’t give up on finding a Jesus-centered local church that exalts God’s love and Grace—continue your search patiently and I believe the Lord will lead you to one that’s a good fit for you.
“For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the middle of them.”” (Matthew 18:20 WEB)
There is a special anointing present when believers are physically gathered in Jesus’ name.
Jesus is in the middle of the group of gathered believers through His omnipresent Spirit.
Jesus our Bridegroom has to remain in Heaven and wait for the Rapture before meeting us face-to-face.
However, He is able to work and be present among us through the Holy Spirit which is also called the Spirit of Jesus Christ (Philippians 1:19) and the Spirit of Christ (Romans 8:9, 1 Peter 1:11).
When the Holy Spirit simultaneously appears among the groups of believers, He is present with power to dispense gifts and set captives free.
You will receive breakthroughs and experiences when you’re worshiping together with other believers that you won’t when you’re alone.
The body of Christ is made of many members that care for each other. Believers are meant to minister to one another—using our gifts and ministries to impart life and strength to others.
“But the one and the same Spirit produces all of these, distributing to each one separately as he desires. For as the body is one, and has many members, and all the members of the body, being many, are one body; so also is Christ. For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether bond or free; and were all given to drink into one Spirit. For the body is not one member, but many. If the foot would say, “Because I’m not the hand, I’m not part of the body,” it is not therefore not part of the body. If the ear would say, “Because I’m not the eye, I’m not part of the body,” it’s not therefore not part of the body. If the whole body were an eye, where would the hearing be? If the whole were hearing, where would the smelling be? But now God has set the members, each one of them, in the body, just as he desired. If they were all one member, where would the body be? But now they are many members, but one body. The eye can’t tell the hand, “I have no need for you,” or again the head to the feet, “I have no need for you.” No, much rather, those members of the body which seem to be weaker are necessary. Those parts of the body which we think to be less honorable, on those we bestow more abundant honor; and our unpresentable parts have more abundant propriety; whereas our presentable parts have no such need. But God composed the body together, giving more abundant honor to the inferior part, that there should be no division in the body, but that the members should have the same care for one another. When one member suffers, all the members suffer with it. Or when one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it. Now you are the body of Christ, and members individually.”
(1 Corinthians 12:11-27 WEB)
You may be an eye and I may be a foot, but it doesn’t mean that either of us are inferior in any way.
We just serve different, unique functions and we are both needed—beneficial for the whole body of Christ.
There is no place for division or boasting in our different callings.
Not going to local church means you’re missing out on the ideal blessed life that God wants you to enjoy—fellowship with your family in God, benefiting from the gifts of others and having the sense of purpose from using your gifts to minister to others.
Like in the first verse I shared, there is a “one another” for the Christian life.
“For everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven:” (Ecclesiastes 3:1 WEB)
In different seasons of our life on earth, the strong ones in each season can lift up the ones who are weak.
Together, we can build up the body of Christ to reach its full stature—walking in love, good works and living according to what’s written for us who are under the New Covenant of Grace.
