(Ambassador Bi-khim Hsiao)!
★★★★★★★★★★★★
Ok, let’s go. First, the speech video itself: https://youtu.be/5ozMcauCjbs
★★★★★★★★★★★★
Thank you Karen for that kind introduction…
I’m so honored to be able to be here in person, to use this occasion to express my gratitude… to the so many outstanding freedom-loving legislators around the United States.
It is also recognition for the freedom-loving people of Taiwan, and our determination to keep Taiwan free.
We share with you the values of freedom and democracy, blah blah blah…
I often say that you are living in the land of the free.
We are living on the island of the free.
Good line,
*Btw, 為什麼是 “land of the free” 而不是 land of free 或是 free land?因為自由的不是土地,而是「人」,所以美國人才會說 “we are a free people”。
(Narrative)
We also believe that it is only in societies that respect the freedom of speech, where true innovation can propel technology that advances human progress, instead of technology that is abused and used for surveillance and controlling their people.
Can you spell B-O-R-I-N-G?
I’m an ambassador now, I work in Washington, DC, but I used to be like you, I came from a legislature in Taiwan, I understand that all politics are local. And when we go back to our constituents, we wanna deliver on economic progress, we wanna deliver on the common values that we share.
We’re in the State of Utah now, [Taiwan’s] size is only 15% the size of Utah, but we are the 8th largest consumer of US agricultural products in the world.
Which means, per capita wise, each Taiwanese citizen is the second largest consumer — per capita wise — the second largest consumer of American agricultural products.
★★★★★★★★★★★★

// Tech becomes the norm for Seniors //
Tech For Good Asia Webinar – Bridging the Digital Divide for the Elderly
Tech For Good Asia, along with Solis Strategy, co-organised a webinar to discuss the difficulties that the elderly encountered during the pandemic and how technology could help them overcome the barriers and stay connected.
Session 2 – How technology can support the elderly during the pandemic?
The social distancing measures and travel restrictions have disrupted everyone’s ordinary routine. It was particularly hard for the elderly to adapt to such drastic changes. In this session, we have invited speakers from AlipayHK, Facebook and the medical sector to share with us how new technology could improve the quality of life of the elderly during the pandemic.
In this part, Mr. Simon Leung (Head of Business Development, AlipayHK) and Ms. Maggie Tam (Public Policy Manager, Facebook) further discussed some examples on their platforms of how Seniors and others make use of their technology tools to stay healthy and provide psychological support during the pandemic and even lockdown periods.

You’ve probably heard about morning meditation, but why do we actually need it?
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve asked a friend how they were doing and heard “busy” as a response.
Everyone is busy. I’m busy. There are a million things demanding our time and attention every single day. We’re overwhelmed, and I think that most of us struggle to cope.
I started to do morning meditation practise last year. I’d heard about the benefits of meditation for years.
What is the benefits of meditation?
Meditating causes the pituitary gland in your brain to secrete endorphins. We know about endorphins. They make us feel good, emotionally and physically. Meditation also enhances activity in the area of your brain that’s associated with positive emotions and experiences.
You don’t have to be a yogi or a monk or a deeply spiritual person to see dramatic benefits from meditation.
So when you are ready, I invited you to welcome this new habit into you life.
While I’m doing meditation I love to use this aromatherapy associates the atomiser. It helps me relax my body and focus in the present.
The atomization technology of the hydrotherapy is inhaled, using a separate air compression function to disperse our 100% natural and some essential oils into a fine mist. Ultra-quiet, no need to add water or heat, preserve effective essential oils of our aromatherapy, very few essential oils can let you experience the effects of real aromatherapy.
They are doing promotion now, 🎉 if you go to YOHO and get them on 15th and 18th This month !!!!
The price will be $1299 (normally worth $1610 ) and you get a essential oil (worth $289) as gift.

Jokes Aside :
You guys may know me for my Music, Martial Arts..... and Comments, but I'm actually quite a crazy geek having working as computer technician fixing viruses for my friends during my school days and working in the business strategy department at Microsoft.
Here are some of my criteria when buying a laptop computer :
1. Future proof, parts are easily upgradable and replaceable. I don't like soldered RAM on my motherboards. Even my Wireless Card in the laptop has to be replaceable because I always upgrade that as well.
2. HDMI 2.0 and above. If my Laptop Screen is running at a certain speed, I want my external monitors to be smooth as well.
3. Transparent, it's best that all the parts are stated in detail ie Memory Speed, which SSD is being used etc.
4. After sales support. Firmware and Driver updates, technical support.
In December 2020, I've helped my younger brother purchase a high end laptop for his work from Illegear during the Christmas sale. Price was very good for the specifications of the laptop that we purchased. Illegear is actually Malaysia's No. 1 Custom Laptop Brand where we can select our preferred components and build our very own laptops. Today, I went to Illegear to collect my very own laptop.

Hello, it’s Helen here.
Today I will cook a vegan meal with familiar delicacies for Vietnamese people, yet using ingredients that are new to the Vietnamese. These are the products of dry beans imported directly from the US which are chickpeas and red lentils. These are non-GMO products with pure natural cultivation technology, in which they do not use plant preservatives, chemical fertilizers and other growth stimulating methods.
These dried beans are rich in nutrition and good to eat for vegans, diet and postpartum women as well. Chickpeas are used as raw material for many dishes like soups, salads, braised dishes, bean curd and many other dishes. Red lentils can be used for soup, sticky rice, porridge, sweet soups or stews because the beans are easily smashed when cooked, which is quite similar to Vietnamese mung beans. Please notice that when cooking these beans, we should not add salt or vinegar to the cooking water, because this will lengthen the cooking time. Chickpeas must be soaked first, therefore they will be cooked faster. Cooking instructions are noted very carefully on the package so please read through before using.

Yes, good evening everyone is Civa. I tried to ban Japanese today. By the way, this sentence is translated into English by Google Translate. As expected, if I translated all the text in the summary column myself, I would die from fatigue, so I used a machine this time. Recent technology is amazing!
But I don't think the translation is perfect yet, so if you put this sentence in Google Translate, it may not be a good sentence. I don't know.
But I don't think anyone translates this sentence, so I want to convey something like a hidden message.
What should I do.
That said, I don't want to convey anything in particular, so I'm gonna finish it.
Is a lie.
If anyone translates this sentence, let them know.
Thank you for your effortless use! ! ! ! ! !
Then from here I will write the lyrics of the lemon. I am happy that the face of the person who works hard and translates comes to mind. Hahaha
How good was it in a dream
I still dream about you
As if you forgot what you forgot
Dust of old memories
That there is happiness that will never return
Finally you told me
The dark past that I hid without saying
If you don't, you will stay forever
Surely no more
I know there isn't
Even the sadness of that day, even the pain of that day
I loved it all--with you
I can't stay on my chest The smell of bitter lemon
I can't return until the rain stops
You are still my light
Traced your back in the dark
I remember the outline clearly
Every time I encounter something I ca n’t accept
Only tears overflow
What were you doing-what were you watching
In a profile I don't know
Somewhere you are now like me
Give me tears if you're in loneliness
Please forget about me
Enough to wish that kind of thing
You are still my light
Than I think
To you who were in love
As you think from then
I can not breathe
I was so close to you
Like a lie
Very unforgettable
That's for sure
Even the sadness of that day, even the pain of that day
I loved it all--with you
I can't stay on my chest The smell of bitter lemon
I can't return until the rain stops
Like one of the cut fruits
You are still my light
